Jannik Sinner si presenterà al masters1000 di Montecarlo, primo grande appuntamento sulla terra battuta europea, da numero 2 del mondo. Lo scorso anno, Jannik si era fermato alle semifinali, uscendo sconfitto da una dura partita con Holger Rune (finita al terzo set). Sembra passata un’eternità da quella sfida che aveva lasciato qualcosa in Sinner, che da quel momento in poi non riuscì più ad ottenere buoni risultati sul rosso. Ovviamente, la speranza è che in questo 2024 da record la musica cambi anche su questa superficie.

Con il risultato del 2023, l’azzurro dovrà scartare 360 punti a partire dal prossimo lunedì. Trovandosi appena 65 punti davanti a Carlos Alcaraz (che non ne perderà nessuno vista la mancata partecipazione lo scorso anno) c’è solo un modo per avere la certezza di trovarsi ancora al numero 2 del mondo al termine della competizione: alzare al cielo il trofeo.

Abbiamo, inoltre, anche altre due ipotesi. A Jannik basterà, infatti, la semifinale qualora lo spagnolo non riuscisse a raggiungere la semifinale. Qualora Carlitos non riuscisse ad arrivare nemmeno ai quarti di finale, invece, Sinner dovrebbe semplicemente confermare la semifinale della scorsa stagione.
